Domains with hyphens in them ("-") are considered poor quality and should only be used in emergencies. They are not worth anywhere near as much as domains with just letters.

2. Memorable

Yes domain must be phrase of your business name related keyword, or it should be similar to match with your business terminology word(most searched).Now a day this strategy followed by SEO based company ,even they are providing a eCommercial business site traffic on the basis of the domain name.

Your root domain dose NOT need to have your keywords. As long as you have your permalink structure set correctly, you can always add the keyword into the page or post title. Just be mindful of the limits of characters in your url.

If you have a certain product or service it could be important to choose a domain name with your product name, service or major keyword within your domain name and that could help it come up easier in the search engines. You could also buy a domain name that is expiring or being sold that has previous page rank which comes from previous SEO and link building but the actual domain name itself doesn't carry any PR.

 

It's a bit ambiguous to say a domain generates PR. Maybe it does but it's not the primary driver of PR since PR is a little bit of everything under the SEO umbrella. If you want your domain to easily get search engines' attention then use your keywords as domain name and extension.
