If a blog is part of a website (ie there are pages as well as a series of obvious blog posts), it can look like all the other pages or it can look like a blog. Which design concept do you prefer?

I like the idea of having the blog look like a deliberate part of the site so having the same colour scheme and same overall look and feel as the main site. I also like a business blog to look professional rather than like a cheap add on or like a personal blog.

Having said that, I don't generally want a blog hidden so it doesn't look at all like a blog. And it seems pointless to have a blog and not link to previous posts and possibly categories.

So I think the best option is to blend the two - use the main layout and colours but incorporate blog-specific features into the side bar.

For a Business I prefer having a blog bends well with the site. Specially on the navigation side of things. If it's hard to reach or if it's hard to get back to the site's main page people can get lost. That only hurts the site because I wouldn't come back to a site that confuses me.
