I was recently called by Walmart/Amazon Affiliate Program where they set up a website for you to market their thousands of products ... $197 if I started that day, increasing to $2000 the next day.

Although I would have thought working at home for one of these giants would be a solid stream of income, it did not appear that the Sales Representative was well-versed with how to earn the $400 or so day. The advertisement stated that not even a computer was required. Upon asking how to place their products on a website without a computer, he said that they could say that as you did not need your own mainframe/servers!

Needless to say, I passed on the opportunity but it would be interesting to hear the results of anyone who did join.

I agree. I've seen numerous programs of this type and although I can't be sure that all of them are scams, I think at least most of them just don't give enough value for money in the first place so it's still best to stay away. People should really do a whole lot of research first before they give their money away.

I always wonder what's really on the other side of the "buy this product to learn more" scheme. I've always been a skeptic, so I've never invested the money. I wonder how much more information there could be. A lot of the programs I see, all use free tools for you to get started. I just wonder why it costs money to learn more.

Without a continued back and forth ... many of these products offer things like personal websites already set up and hosted to sell their products, conferences and workshops to get hands on advice, extensive training grounds and weekly webinars and the list goes on. They are typically called "being a product of the product." This means you own the product, train with the product and can therefore sell it. Theoretically this is good because you have the knowledge to on-sell as you have trained with it. However, practically, many of them cost thousands of $$$ and are difficult to sell and obtain your commission.

You are right to be questioning what is on the other side of buying to learn more ... I will only do that with a cheap product if I am willing to lose the refund they promise. It is really all just about gaining the initial purchase with whatever entices you with the intention of keeping you as a continuing customer.

I have extensive knowledge of this as I have paid and trained on some of the high end ones but have no-where near earned my outlay selling those products. That is why I am not a fan of the big outlay until you feel you know exactly what you want. I will certainly state that I have also learned plenty - it is just a case of where you are to be able to spend or not.

Hey ... I did not want to leave you hanging so I am just giving my last thought on this!

Thanks for sharing this to us. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why I try to avoid Affiliate Marketing. I've been to several sites and am still skeptical about them. It's hard to determine a legitimate site from a scam. Everyone claims to make you significantly richer yet they ask for your credit card number. This alarms me. Aren't there no-charge options for AM?

I think the no charge approach would be finding a book that takes you all the way through the process. Well not exactly no charge, but I'll take a one time fee over non-stop monthly fees anytime. Most of these AM programs offer complete independence but require you to stick with them forever. I think that's a bit strange.

I am already aware of the scam affiliate sites like RichGoPTR. I am also aware of the Neobux rip off called Neodollar which has nothing to do with Neobux. I try to look up the site before I move away so I would know ahead of time about a site.
