Navigation is possibly the most important element in web design. If users can't find their way around the site, they will leave it or will miss some important content.

A menu or list of categories should feature on the home page, with all internal pages interlinked appropriately. Users should see a link back to the home page from any part of the site.

Category names should be familiar to users and they can be listed in alphabetic order or in order of importance.

I absolutely despise a website that has poor navigation. If you can't easily navigate a website, then you have the feeling of being "trapped" and it makes you want to get the heck out of there.

I agree with you. The most important aspect of a web site is its navigation system. Users definitely need to be able to easily navigate your site.

Yes, that's true. Some sites are far too complicated to navigate to take seriously. As a standard rule, the menu should be a little beneath the header. Dropdown buttons facilitate the ease of navigation and I particularly like sites that sport the dropdown feature. Too much content on the home page is also a big turn-off. Websites would do well to keep their tag lines and promotions short and simple.

user experience that matters the most to decrease the bounce rate as well as increase the interest of the end user on your website, if user comes to your website and did not find anything relevant to him, even though it is present in the website , this will create impact on your business, so better navigation is must needed thing in any website or webapplication.
