Craze for online shopping is going on increasing now a days. Online shopping is beneficial in many ways. Still some people are believing in not to purchase from online shops because of some scams. Lots of solutions for such type of believes are given on web to check the whether the site is safe or not.

Advantages of e-commerce :
1. Overcome Regional Limitations: If you have a actual shop, you are limited by the geographical area that you can service. With an e-commerce web page, the whole globe is your play area.
2. Gain New Clients With Look for Engine Visibility: Physical retail store is motivated by marketing and relationships. In addition to these two drivers, on the internet retail store is also motivated by traffic from google.
3. Lower Costs: One of the most concrete advantages of e-commerce is the reduced price. A part of these reduced expenses could be passed on to customers by means of great offers.

Such as?

I think the first thing I would look for is a secure URL when going to the payment section. It should start with https:// instead of http://

The "s" stands for secure and show the site has an SSL (Secure socket layer) certificate.

Ya,of course online shopping is safe because some online shopping website provide the facility that you can pay money after product delivery.

First of all u need get all inquiries before you read descriptions carefully and than go ahead for online shopping....!

Online is booming the whole industry day by day. It is going to be a huge aspects in price compare online but remember one thing that While they might be legitimate, there is the possibility of some offers coming from criminals trying to trick you into giving your password to a rogue site or visiting a site that can put malicious software on your computer. Your best protection is to not click on any links even if the message looks legitimate--but to type in the merchant's URL manually.

The safe part depends on the service provider, payment gateway and the consumer protection law of the region/country. Consumers should consider these aspects before they purchase a product through online.

I think online shopping is very beneficial if we want to save time and effort going to our local stores for shopping.

Online shopping is not safe.. and its not worth for our money... the online shopping has providing damage products or they given low quality products.. even they wont given any branded thinks....

There are many online shopping website in IT industry also, like online computer hardware shopping, web hosting, domains etc. We do not have any other option left without considering them safe, but still we need to be careful.

Shopping online has become apart of our lives but many of us still worry that their credit card details will be given to the wrong person. Shopping has many categories like online clothing, jewellery and much more to check the quality reviews and buy. There are many security advances now a days, as online shopping is certainly here to stay continues to advance.

I have never had any fears when it comes to shopping online. I have done it for years without issue. There are definitely threats out there but if you are proactive in protecting your assets, then you can rest a bit more easy. I always recommend shopping through a valid third party like Paypal when you can and if you must use a personal bank card -- make sure that you have overdraft turned off and theft protection on your card so that in the event someone gets your info you are not liable for any charges made.

I have never had any doubts when purchasing anything online. I think it's a matter of buying only at trusted stores. In my case I buy a lot of things at Amazon. I also get clothes for my kids in Carters and Old Navy and have never had any issue.

It's the same when I buy an info product. If I know I can trust the sellers (if they offer refund for instance) I feel safe buying from them.

It is always a good idea only to purchase through reliable and trusted retailers. If you are not sure about their credentials, definitely do some research before entering any personal information into their system. You may also want to consider purchasing through a third party site if possible to protect your identity and finances. Better safe than sorry.

Online is an era in shopping, all trusted and non-trusted retailers will do cheat, only buy things which you have confident on manufacturer and quality and you have earlier knowledge on it.

Or go with some of the local web sites which they dont collect the money online but they provide service same like major online retailers, they have COD option too. in all major cities small Online retails are present look for them.

I think it is fairly safe already by now, although of course there are still some unknown risks, but then again you get those same unknown risks in physical shops anyway. Criminals are very crafty and they will take advantage any way they can so either method is equally at risk, in my opinion.

Yeah, it's quite common nowadays, but mostly because we have so many trusted sites for people to use. In the pioneer days of the Internet, it was really uncommon for people to shop online, because they were so afraid of scams, but now with the big companies, and more protection in place in terms of payment, it just makes it so much easier.

Being that I'm homebound since I have MS the only way I shop for anything but food and clothes/shoes is online. I don't like shopping for clothes/shoes online because it's too hard to know if they're going to fit right. Food is a given, it's just not feasible to shop for most food online yet. Otherwise, I buy everything online. While I do get caught up in a few snags here and there, usually everything works out in the end. Since I work online and get paid via PayPal, I don't worry about using a credit card as I simply use my PayPal account. I also tend to stick with a few main, name brand places as that seems to work best for me too.

As long as you are careful and ensure your shopping site is secure then I see no real issue with online shopping. The majority of debit/credit cards have anti-fraud measures in place anyway so even if anybody was to use your details, the situation would be rectified by the bank. There is a lot of scaremongering around online transactions but we need to remember that cybersecurity is just as much our responsibility as anyone elses.
