I've tried. He has no interest in reading though. He doesn't even like to hear other people read to him. He thinks it's a boring waste of time.

Switch on subtitles on any movie you watch at home. Even if it's in your own language and he isn't really paying attention, his brain will subconsciously process at least a little of what appears there. Sneaky, sneaky.

Not always true. I've seen some excellent movies from books that were appalling. It really depends on both sides. A purely personal example (and one which many people will loathe me for) is the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy. The films were really enjoyable and beautifully made; the books are so phenomenally long, tedious and dull that I've never managed to read them in their entirety, despite trying several times. It's like swimming in concrete.

@SpikeLobster okg, you got me there because I haven't read the books and those movies are great but here's a counter example from the same book author and same director: The Hobbit. Only in movies one can take a 180 pages book and divide it into three long and boring movies, even if that means adding scenes and characters that where not present in the book.

Grammar isn't something writers learn overnight. To fix your grammar, you must be good at it to begin with. If your articles are meant to persuade audiences, experts always recommend using an active voice to avoid awkwardness and for better conversion (e.g. "offers" instead of "is offered").
