Which is better Robots.txt or Meta Robots Tag?

 

Robots.txt is a text file that lists webpages which contain instructions for search engines robots. The file lists webpages that are allowed and disallowed from search engine crawling.

 

Meta Robots tag: It is a tag that tells search engines what to follow and what not to follow.

Robot.txt file: It is a text file you put on your site, it helps you to which pages on your site to crawl or which are not crawl.

According to me, robot.txt file is better than Meta robot tag. Most of the SEO developer used this file while doing seo.
