    You can't put a percentage on it, and it's a lot more complex than that but yes, GOOD QUALITY backlinks will help your page rank, poor quality ones (most directories, article sites, free press release sites, fluff posting on forums/blogs) will make your PR worse.

    Ya you are right..Dofollow links alone help in increasing PageRank..Nofollow helps only in crawling the website i.e.,revisiting the website..
