I recently watched Serendipity on my laptop. It's a bit cheesy but it was a nice film. Well, actually, I'm not quite sure if I really like the film itself, or just John Cusack. He's just downright cute and manly at the same time. I love him.

The most recent movie that I watched was "The Other Guys". I actually saw it before, but I was with a friend and she hadn't seen it yet. I'm actually glad that I watched it for a second time, because the first time that I saw it, I didn't like it very much, but I guess it all depends on what you're mood is, because I thought it was a lot funnier the second time.

The last movie I saw was Boyhood. It was great but I don't think everyone would enjoy it. Slough I have to admit that there wasn't really anything too exceptional about the story but I think that contributes a lot to the charm of it. The simplicity just brings out all the subtle details of the relationships and events in the story.

Last night I watched Guardians of the Galaxy on DVD. It's really fun and it may be my favorite from the marvel universe (besides X-Men stuff of course) so far. I would recommend it if you like fast action and funny scripts.

Most recent movie for me is Interstellar. This was one of the first movies, in a while, that I watched without knowing much about it. I knew Christopher Nolan was the director (I'm a huge fan of his work), and Matthew Mcconaughey was the lead. I had not seen any trailers. Recently, I had been wanting to see Mcconaughey in a movie or TV show, because it seems like he's really stepped up his game and actually has put on some great performances. If you would have told me that 5 years ago, I would have thought you were crazy..lol.

Anyway, the movie was a bit of a disappointment. Definitely not one of Nolan's best movies. It felt like it dragged on way too long, and I really just thought the movie would be more of a thinker, but there really wasn't much to it. Memento is still my favorite movie of his.

I was pleasantly surprised with that movie. I didn't really expect much going in. I knew nothing about the comics this movie was based on. I was a fan of Chris Pratt (the lead actor), but only because of Parks and Rec and the lego movie. I wasn't sure if he could pull off a movie like this, but he definitely did. The movie had the right mix of action, comedy, and romance. Definitely looking forward to the second one.

Hmm.. never actually heard of this movie until you posted it. Reviews seem exceptional, though, so maybe I'll have to add it to my list of movies to watch (as if I don't already have enough..lol). I'll let you know what I think of it if I ever get around to watching it.

Ugh.. Netflix will be the death of me someday..lol.

I recently watched the French version of Beauty and the Beast starring Lea Seydoux and Vincent Cassel. It was a cool and beautiful movie. Not really super epic, but it was wonderful in its own right. The CGI effects were amazing. Overall cinematography was also great. Lea Seydoux makes for a feisty Belle and Vincent Cassel an emo beast. I've been watching French films for years and I'm so relieved to finally watch one that ends happily aside from The Artist.

Two nights ago I saw Snowpiercer on DVD. It's a science fiction thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat the full two hours it runs. The plot is something like this: all nations decided to set free a chemical agent in order to lower the temperature of the atmosphere (maybe because of global warming) but after that agent gets released an ice age starts that kills all forms of life. Only a few people is still alive and they are riding inside a never-stopping train. It's kind of unbelievable but the movie is really good.
