With the economy at the worst it's been since the great depression, now is the time to start your own business. More and more people are feeling secure doing their shopping online and the range of businesses that can be run from your home are probably higher than they ever were. I'd like to offer a few tips for those of you who are looking to make either an extra income from home in your spare time or starting a full time business with the intent of becoming the next FaceBook or Google.

Again another one of those people claiming easy money, free hosting, free domains. Of course your free domain is a sub domain on his site (bringing more traffic and thus better pages rank to him) and then you get to the sales pitch. He is "Not" doing this for free. Who Making money from this site? Chris Farrel.

I think we should leave your post and open the topic for discussion.

We delete tons of spam posts here daily from sites offering free sites, domains, etc saying that you can make "Easy" money. I bet if most of the people who take them up on these offers were honest they would tell you that no I didn't make the kind of money they said I could and yes they tried to sell me something that was vital to the process and this is why it's not producing.

If you want to start a business online you need

• a product that you know something about
• a business plan
• a marketing plan
• a hosting account
• a domain name that has your business name in it

Although a Web based business can be started with a "Low" budget it cannot be done with a "No" budget. When are people going to learn nothing is free and if it sounds to good to be true.......................

 

Starting a subscription site is a fine idea. You still need a topic or niche to draw people in. It has to be something people feel is worth paying for.

Again Having,

These are necessary things. Again avoiding offers of a free website (with their business) and easy money are not likely to be fruitful.

 

I think indeed the five setups for start business is the main point just!

So many people jump on the internet because they are unable to find employment in this economy, or are tired of working for someone else. They succumb to the shiny lure of 'easy money', 'internet riches' and the thought of working from home. There are thousands of those shiny lures dangling in the internet pond. Any business requires capital to run. Most franchises start at a bare minimum of $75,000 on up- most over $100,000.
If you decided to sell used cars, you would need money to lease a lot, buy a Dealer's License, office equipment, hire staff(sales, mechanics, office), purchase inventory and have an advertising budget.
So many people don't think in those business terms when it comes to having a web-based business. Somehow they think that if they use every free resource available, that boatloads of money will somehow just miraculously appear. That is the illusion of the internet- the reality is more akin to a brick and mortar business and people would be better off if they approached it with that mind-set.

Some people have made big money with a simple idea. I remember when hotmail was privately owned. But they spent a lot of time developing their site and their infrastructure. It took time and money. eventually they sold for millions. Craigslist had humble beginnings as well as other businesses that eventually sold for big bucks.

The thing they didn't do was use a free website, free hosting or free (or sub) domain name with some else's business model. They also didn't make money right away but took the time to build their site. FaceBook did not make money for quite a while and was a considerable investment from the very start.

I would like to see everyone here be successful. The trick is to be original, creative and bold.
