Is the domain name important for google rank?

 

I don't know if it affects your Google Rank, but when it comes to search engines, it helps when your domain has the keywords related to your niche (example: freelance venue = http://www.freelancevenue.com)

 

100 percent According to me a domain name which has a keyword strikes first page if the website has done Good Seo work! For example a alternative health related website- Ayurvedic massages for example has a url www.ayurvedicmassagesindia.com it will definately be the number one...

According my own experience with more than 200 domains, first of all the important is what domain you need. Of course the name matching with the content is SEO important, the way you can get a good ranking. But the importance of a domain is your need. If you are a model you have to find a good domain about model or fashion (one of my domains is teenagesupermodel.com) but if you like to cook pizzas the best domains must be related with pizzas or recipes for pizzas (i own recipespizza.com). Then it depends of your needs. Sometimes your needs are not compatible with a domain on the registrars (moniker, name.com or godaddy) and you need to make a research by domainers (on Facebook or LinkedIn or even here it is enough to type something like "i am a teacher or model or.... and need a domain that can be related with my profession or my firm". Then it is up to you to build a web site or a mini-ste (some registrars offer free 5 pages).

 

If you are using good domain for your website that it will be good impact when search engine spider perceive it. your domain should be short.
