Social network visitors

Hey guys, I have created a social network called WorldHub. The idea is that you can meet new people with the same interests as yourself but you can also network with your normal friends.

I currently have around 97 members and i was wondering how could i get more members as the current members are people from my school and i need more members?

Social networking sites are very much in competition these days. What might be the best method is email marketing. You may want to make sure you have a niche (or targeted market) or something that sets you apart from the others.

 

Ok, great, how exactly would i go about email marketing? The thing that sets me apart is that you can meet new people with the same interests as yourself by joining interest groups

 

First you need to have a mailing list. Start with friends, family and business contacts (your list of contacts from your email is a place to start). If your list is only 100-500 Constant contact works well and they'll give you a 60 day free trial. Nice templates there and easy to use. If your list is a bit bigger there are other email marketing services that are cheaper to use. We offer one by Accrisoft that our customers have been very happy with.

The thing about using a service as opposed to trying to send mass emails off you server is first, most hosts will not allow it and second, your emails are not sent off your server so your not risking having your IP blacklisted if someone accuses you of spamming. These services also have an opt out option so that they are compliant with the laws against unsolicited emails.

You can also purchase email lists if you want to send thousands of emails.

You can share your link/signature in other social networking websites like facebook, google plus etc. Beside this, Having a mailing campaign is a good option too.
