What is the difference between HTML site map and XMl site map?

please tell me the difference between both of them.

 

The XML site-map protocol is specifically designed for spiders.In the simplest form,an XML site-map is behind the scene XML file that lists URLs for a site along with additional metadata about each URL.

HTML site-map is an actual page on a site containing links to the website's most important pages.Any site with anything approaching complex navigation should consider an HTML sitemap for visitors.A visitor might refer to an HTML site-map to help them navigate when they can't find a specific page.

 

Html sitemap is for the convenience of users or site visitors while Xml site map is basically for google spiders and search engines.

The XML sitemap is for search engine spiders or bots. It has allowed webmasters to inform the search engine about the URL in the website for easy indexing. It is fully created for search engine crawler for indexing the website.

 

Listed URLs in a special format to specify a sitemap called XML sitemap and HTML sitemap mean list all hyperlinks of different sections and pages of your blog/website.
