SEO for Web Site

I have a few web sites for my IT Business but keeping them on first page of Google etc takes a lot of time and or money. Any suggestions would be appreciated. www.itintegrityguy.com

To keep website on first page you need traffic to website, backlinks to your website , submission to search engines (try Linksdepo) .Were was site created ?

One, I would get away from Free hosting (and GoDaddy hosting). Those GoDaddy ads do not help your business.

Two, If you've managed to get on the first page of google not for your business name but for your keywords like laptop repair, computer repair etc, then you've done extremely well. It does take time and or money to keep up with advertising though. You are welcome to advertise your services in the open marketplace section here and I would suggest posting at industry related forums and directories all that you can. Craigslist and any other free classifieds are also good.

I will remove the Godaddy ad. I have a Thumbtack site that get me some business through Craigslist (Thumbtack sends me an email every three 3 days to post an ad on Craigslist). I also have domains with Godaddy with one page site (30064 PC repair and 30064 computer repair). Last I have a site that I pay by the month for SEO www.mariettacomputerrepair.net

Try ubiquityhosting.com it's better in service and price for hosting too. What keyword would you like to get organic SERP traffic?

 

That's pretty comparable to the 50% off promotion we have going right now. I've seen terrible reviews on GoDaddys paid hosting let alone free hosting which requires you carry their ads I think.

 

can somebody differentiate WhiteHat SEO and BlackHat SEO..whats the difference with seo link building?

White hat is doing things the proper way while black hat is trying to skirt the rules, fool the search engines and generally being shady
This is one of the reasons why Google no longer looks at keywords. To many people were putting keywords in their meta tags that had nothing to do with their sites.

 

well also go with web 2.0 sites, link wheel creations, micro blogging sites, .edu and .gov backlinks.. they are also helpful in getting ranks on first page..

Try to refresh or keep your content up to date. Google right now is making old information a negative. Try to refresh and give new info. I know it's alot of work...

 

Till date nothing has been changed,If they change everything negative then Wordpress would be pr 0 instead of pr9 and google itself will be pr 0 instead of pr 10!Content remains always the King!!!

 

Absolutely agree about using Godaddy and/or free hosting to host your site. I use Godaddy only to register my domains. Get someone to build a good website for you who will do pure organic white hat SEO. Use paid hosting instead. Also, Content Is King as vickroyal stated, coupled with relevancy. I noticed on your site that the word "computer" is used too often. Search engines, particularly Google, view that as spamming.

Your description meta tag has too many characters and is only 79% relevant to your content. Title relevancy is 75% and keyword relevancy is 87%. You want all these factors to be 100% relevant to your content so that search engines know how and where to rank you.

Many SEO companies use different techniques and have different beliefs on what works. I can only tell you what works for my clients. Properly written meta tags and pure organic white hat SEO, as well as fresh, unique and updated content with the main keywords sprinkled around gets them on the first page for their keywords and primary markets every time.

I suggest only using 5 keywords/keyword phrases in the meta tags.

These are the keywords and keyword phrases used most often in your web page and are what you should use in your keyword meta tags. Yes, I use them faithfully. Whether or not Google considers keyword meta tags, it doesn't hurt to make use of them for the SE spiders. When spiders/bots come to visit they say "WOW, everything is relevant! YAAAY"

Another suggestion I have for you is put your site on a Wordpress blog. Split your content into posts. Every time you write a post (content), it pings the internet and the search engine spiders and visitors come. Most often your posts will show up in a search. I've seen blog posts show in the search engines within 30-60 minutes. Doesn't happen all the time, but it does happen.
