its a good way to make money, but personally i feel surprised from ppl that go and buy a domain name with 1000's of dollars while u can find a better alternative for just 9$ per year, if u think well u can always find a better

 

TLD's are really in short supply and the alternatives require building a brand. If you can afford to buy the .com of your product it means almost instant success and traffic.
