Can we book a similer domain name?

I am little confuse about domain can we book a domain name which has already have been taken???

 

No You cannot buy a domain that is owned by someone else unless they wish to sell it to you.

You may book a similar domain "if" you are trying to use their brand to draw traffic to your site. The domain needs to be pertinent to your product or service.

If you want the main domain name but it's already registered you could always check if other extensions might be available for registration. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this though if you are trying to compete with the main website owner for the same product or service as you would not have the top domain and might come across trademark issues down the road. I would recommend differentiating your business name and find a top level domain name that matches that.

For instance, if you want the communityforums.com domain name but it's already taken by another individual or company, then maybe you can add "great" before communityforums.com so that it will look like this instead: greatcommunityforums.com. If that domain is still unavailable, then you had better think of something else.

I have this problem right now. My chosen domain is in use. The website hasn't been updated in 3 years. The company never got off the ground. The owner wanted an outrageous price for it so I just added "the" to the domain.
I will still contact the owner every six months to see if she wants to sell the domain at a reasonable price.
