To get people to pay to advertise on your site you need traffic. No one is going to pay to advertise on a site that gets 20-30 unique visits per day. How much traffic are you getting? Whats the URL?
The best way to go with a new site is to use affiliate ads or google adsense. If you go with google make sure you read their term of service. You will need a privacy statement that meets their standards and it will have to have original content. That's just a couple of their rules right off the top of my head.

I was looking at your site and things actually look pretty good. Now is that 1600 unique visits or 1600 page views? and where are you getting your stats from? I would say if you've received 1600 unique visitors and already got your first few advertisers you've gotten off to a good start. Now the trick is to get enough visitors to make your first trial advertisers want to stay (and pay).
Google adwords will get you the most visits and you can get $100 worth of clicks to start. Bidvertiser is cheaper and will get traffic to your site as well. List with as many directories and FFA forums as you can.
Maybe someone else has some suggestions?

I also run most of my new sites with a service that runs an SEO report and does site submissions. They only charge about $5 and the submissions alone have gotten my sites lot of hits. If your interested I will give the info.

You definitely need to increase the traffic to your site first. Otherwise, there's really no reason why people would need to pay you in order to advertise on your site.
