How To Find Guest Blogging Opportunities - What's A Guest Blog?

In general, guest blogging can be a great way to promote both your own website, build links and the efforts of anyone who deigns to write a relevant piece for you. Part of what makes guest blogging so attractive is the potential SEO value; the popularity and page ranking of a given site is largely determined by how many other sites link back to a given page, and vice-versa.
Our company website was nowhere in the search results last year when I started taking over all aspects of SEO and SEM. It took a month to redesign and optimize the website and since then my work is mainly building links and content.
Guest Blogging helped me to be on the FIRST PAGE of Google with our main search term. All I am doing now is to post more content and look for guest blogging opportunities. Finding Guest Blogs can be tough since many blog owners are either unresponsive, or sometimes they make you jump through hoops in order to post an article in their blog. (Ask you to write, then sign up to their site, add your own blog and wait for approval - then never gets approved - so much wasted time) There are some websites like blogguests.com which makes blog owners interested in posting (they are getting paid) and have strict rules about what type of blogs can be listed there. PR1 and higher only. I personally prefer these sites since it takes less effort and time and time is money. If you want to go all the way white hat that will take time. Guest blogging gives you 1-2 links at a time and you still have to create content. This is not a fast track however I believe it will pay off in the long run. Any great guest blogging ides?

 

Thanks Viktoria, I hav just checked blogguests.com and it looks a bit empty but I am sure it has the potential. I also recommend sites such as myblogguest.com, Guestblogit.com and most of all blogsynergy.com.
