i need to know about how to optimize images.if i optimized my web site image pages what benefit i will have.

for optimizing images you can put keywords in alt tags and also try to give that keyword to file name. and share in multiple sites like Picasa Flicker etc.

 

For good optimization of images, you have use proper alt tag suitable to that image description or keyword specific to that image, also add proper unique and updated description to that image description tag .

 

If you want to optimize an image then you have to use proper alternative tag for your image with proper keyword.
