I Created a channel on Youtube called "Draco News Channel". It is about reading the news for the younger folk that are not aware of world events. I already have some videos out stating what the channel is going to be about and the reasons why I decided to do so. The issue is how exactly do you promote a Youtube channel since it is not a regular website in which you can use backlinks and etc. Thanks. Take a look by the way and see if you are interested in this new project I have in mind.
I can't link yet but the channel is called " Draco News Channel"

I think the formula is to have enough interesting news and be active around YouTube and the noticeable social media sites as a whole. First focus on your niche, and research their likes and dislikes. Once you have a decent following, try to balance it with expansion and retaining your original base. I will see that channel then once I have more time. For now, just dropping in my two cents.

Thanks for the advice. I will try what you said out. What I;m trying to do in this case is just like CNN, or Fox news. But for a younger audience, reading the news with a twist.

Here are some of my recommended promotional methods (but first make sure you've already settled on the keyword you want to work on):
    1. Press releases with anchor texts using your chosen keyword
    2. Social media marketing with your chosen keyword as hashtag or tag
    3. Social bookmarking (leave no stone unturned and cover as much ground as possible)
    4. Embed the video to your website or blog

I guess you have a blog or website that links with it, as with news stories people like to comment and interact. That's the idea to get them talking about things and also social media, so tweet when a new clip is released and provide links for further reading on say the history of Ukraine which is in the news. You can get natural backlinks like that.

You can share videos on facebook, twitter, etc. which will get you a little bit of traffic but in my experience the best way to build up your channel is to create videos frequently. If you make good videos that people would enjoy watching and you make them frequently your channel will naturally build up. Having a lot of videos is the key in my experience.

Thank all of you for the advice. I will implement this as soon as possible. Especially that today I start releasing the first batches of videos.

I don't think I can ad more than what has already been suggested here. Keywords in your description is key.

You could try linking it to many famous sites or blogs. If you have friends or if you are well connected to bloggers who have a lot of followers, start communicating with them and ask them if you link your channel on their sites. It's all about networking these days.

To start, I definitely would like to applaud your efforts in every aspect the journey you are about embark on. I completely agree that we, the younger generation, need to be more coherent and aware of things that are happening now versus knowing every trending topic on a daily basis.

To answer your question, along with the broad advice already given, I think the social media approach would be your "bread and butter" starting out. Let your Facebook friends, Twitter followers, etc. know what you are doing. I would also search through the Facebook groups in an attempt to find others who may resonate directly with you in your activities. Then, since YouTube is the platform you're utilizing, I would make it a priority to get involved with other channels by subscribing to them and interacting with its owner. By building relationships with them, there is a good chance of adding some second tier, indirect promotion froms others.

Secondly, I wouldn't exclude "word of mouth". The ultimate goal is to spread awareness and get individuals to your channel. Assuming you come in contact with at least one person in your daily routine, I would absolutely take advantage of the chance to talk about your endeavors. Initiate conversation. Explain your purpose. Get his/her thoughts and opinions. Ask him/her to check out your channel and give feedback. (All of which can be done on social media via private message, as well.)

    Good Luck!!

The best way to do it is post them to your myspace or facebook. Another way to do it is to find a video like it and post it as a Video Response. or you can hire experts from SEOclerks for this task.
