    Hi,

Facebook recently began allowing animated gif's to be posted. However, what I want to know is how can I set it up so that when people share a blog post, the animated gif is being loaded and running.

I have only seen this happen with Giphy, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to make it work on my site. Giphy actually offers some options, which makes seem like when I embed that I might be able to use my site as the link, but I can't get it to work, they lead back to Giphy.

I am willing to download it to my server, but still can't figure out how to make it work like they do.

Barring that, I know I can paste the link directly to the animated gif in my status and it will populate, but is there a way to make that link back to my blog's post? At least then my post will be animated, so it will be animated when people share it...even if when people share from my website, it isn't.

    Thanks.

    David

You can also create an animated GIF by pasting a video URL into the Imgur “Video to GIF” maker. And you can find a large number of GIFs to post into Facebook from Giphy.com
