Building Opt In (Permission Based) Email LIsts

Opt In (Permission based) emailing the the absolute best method to get online sales, so you need to generate your own lists.

Easy to do by installing an autoresponder on your site, preferably a double-opt-in autoresponder, which works like this:

Your site visitor signs up.

The Autoresponder then sends them a confirming email in which they are asked to again confirm that they have signed up to receive your newsletter or other emails.

When they do, the autoresponder then sends them another greeting email and you now have a new client/prospect!

Do this with a number of sites, all under the same company blanket, promote the webistes and you will begin building a large list in short order.

Offer your website visitors and incentive to sign up on your list; a free e-book of marketing tips for example and your signup rate will go up.

It will take some time to build a large list but remember this:

Permission based email is NOT "spam" and can have a very high click-through rate! Imagine having a list of 100K names and getting a 5-7% response from your mailings! A 5% response from a 100K list would mean Five Thousand (5,000!) sales! A 7% response if Seven Thousand (7,000) sales and these kinds of numbers are not unusual when mailing from a good double opt in list in a niche market.

I have ofton read about offering ebooks as an incentive to sign up to your mailing list. As I'm selling adult items I thought this would be hard to do but I have found some suitable ebooks.

It works but frankly getting a sign up is a very toughjob,I have a safemail list of 1200 members here http://www.safemailmarketing.net
But helas,its in losses and i am shutting it down definately!!! so i advice you to create a list- A double opt in not a single optin-It is more safe
It will take few years to built a nice list of few thousand people...Dont go for immideate signups by buying cds or records...Its all crap!!!

 

When I started my email list it was single opt in, what a mistake that was, I used to get so many weekend late night sign ups, it became obvious people were putting mates/enemies emails in for a laugh as they all began to request removals (which I did). Thats when I decided to use the double opt in method. Much safer and easier.

People sell lists in cds,I bought once 1000 signups for 20 bucks all authenticate user of gmail,But it was useless and crap because they were not signed up and I have added them delibrately, so then later i removed all those emails because i was receving spam complaints,the company who sold me the list,assured me that there will never be a complaint as they are their regular buyers!!

 

You can try instead of an ebook to give away codes for discounts or free entry to dating or adult chat sites. If you are an affiliate with such a site you can contact your affiliate manager and ask him to create a deal only for you to promote.

 

Thanks for the reply, I have already spoken to the affiliate manager, this is something they are going to implement in the future, I am already offering special deals on my site and even cheaper deals to my facebook group page which has over 2000 likes but I still cannot get the sales!

 

Never, ever buy email lists as such lists are burnt out, overused, full of spam traps and will make you nothing, aside from the fact that using such lists is illegal in the USA so you could not use the list to maile anyone there. Other countries also prohibit the use of such lists, so generate you own. It will take some time but much more porfitable in the long run!
