What is the reason for backlink reduced?

 

There may be a couple of reasons to reduce backlink that I have seen in my Site (www.zestapps.com).
One of the main reasons is that, the sites you create a backlink is removed after moderator thinks it's irrelevant or spam.

Recently, a popular forum, abestweb has closed down their sites. so if, you create your backlink through forum posting sometimes there may be a chance to reduce your backlink.

The moderator when find a large number of traffic get your sites through their platform they normally reduced link and make it a fixed number.
